GRADE 1:
In their first year of formal
Religious Education, the boys and girls study about God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit
and Mary, Our Blessed Mother, as they learn the Sign of the Cross, Our Father
& Hail Mary.
GRADE 2:
Students prepare to experience
Jesus’ forgiveness for the first time in the Sacrament of Reconciliation and to
receive Jesus in their First Holy Communion.
GRADE 3:
Our Third Graders study the
Church; are introduced to the Sacraments; begin learning the Apostles Creed;
pray the Rosary and study the Mysteries through special projects.
GRADE 4:
In Fourth Grade the students
learn the Beatitudes and the Ten Commandments and discuss how both form the
basis of their moral life and how they would answer:
What Would Jesus Do?
GRADE 5:
Fifth Graders concentrate on
studying the Sacraments, learning how, in each, we encounter Jesus in a special
way.
GRADE 6:
Sixth Grade students each receive a Bible of their own as they spend the year
reading the Word of God and studying the Old and New Testaments.
GRADE 7:
Students learn more about
their faith, studying Our Lord and Savior, Jesus, His humanity and divinity.
GRADE
8 – CONFIRMATION CLASS:
The
young men and women study and prepare to receive the Gifts of the Holy Spirit in
the Sacrament of Confirmation.
SPECIAL NEEDS:
Classes for students with special needs as well as older students
just
beginning their formal Religious Education are formed on a needs basis.
